Pooh Shiesty and K Carbon host back to school giveaway in Memphis
Pooh Shiesty has been incarcerated since May 2021, due to a gun case that stemmed from an incident in Miami, back in October 2020. He went on to be sentenced to five years in prison last spring, but has been in touch heavily with his fans. Furthermore, the Memphis rapper also went on to release the deluxe edition of his 2021 “Shiesty Season” mixtape, last year. This comes after he broke out as a star that year with that project, as well as his “Back In Blood” single with Lil Durk, after signing to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label. Shiesty Season initially debuted at number two in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.
Meanwhile, Shiest continues to give back to his local community in Memphis, despite his incarceration. On July 30, he held a back to school giveaway event there, with his Choppa Gang artist, K Carbon. Carbon has been one of the hottest rising rappers out of Memphis over the last several years, as she’s also collaborated with fellow Memphis natives GloRilla, Gloss Up, Slimeroni, Juicy J, and producer Hitkidd.
At this back to school giveaway in Memphis, book bags, school supplies, surprise giveaways, and more were provided. Elementary, middle and high school students were able to participate and receive these essentials.
