Back in January, YFN Lucci was wanted for a murder case regarding the murder of 28-year-old James Adams in December 2020. The Atlanta rapper was charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Lucci was said to have been the driver in the middle of a gang shootout with his crew involved with him as he allegedly dumped Adams’ body out of his car after getting shot.
Lucci was originally able to post $500,000 bond in February with strict conditions he had to follow. Now, it appears that he violated a few that has prosecutors wanting him back in prison, per TMZ. Lucci allegedly went to a strip club and a recording studio the first day that he was let out of prison, two violations. This strip club is also said to have been under investigation as a scene of a gang-related shooting.
Prosecutors also believe that Lucci’s ankle monitor was tampered with. This is due to it supposedly missing data and not knowing his location for a while. He supposedly tested positive for marijuana and opiates as well. His attorney, Drew Findling, believes that being revoked of bond isn’t the right decision.
“This attempt to revoke his bond is without merit and is replete with factual and legal inaccuracies. We will zealously fight this motion as we will with every aspect of this legally flawed prosecution.”
Prosecutors would want Lucci back in prison until at least the end of this case. 17-year-old Leroy Pitts was also charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for his involvement in the shooting. 23-year-old Ra’von Boyd was also charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
