Quality Control Music speaks on passing of Takeoff
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston. This went down outside of 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston, around 2:30AM. Quavo was also with him, as Quavo was seen in an argument with a group of men.
Quavo’s argument lasted close to 30 minutes, and shots were soon fired, from two different guns. Quavo wasn’t hit, but Takeoff was caught in the crossfire. Quavo and others checked on Takeoff, and attempted to get others to send for help, but he died at the scene.
The music and entertainment industry, as well as fans, have since been mourning this shocking loss of Takeoff. Now, Quality Control Music, the major independent record label that he was signed to, has just released a statement about his passing. They explained how broken they feel, and that Takeoff was a victim of senseless violence.
In October, Takeoff and Quavo released their “Only Built For Infinity Links” album, together. That project went on to see a number seven debut, in the US. This comes after Migos breakup rumors circulated, in May, when Quavo and Takeoff began to release music together. Offset soon began to release music on his own, as well.
