Roc Nation, Quality Control music and more at 2023 Daze Summit

The East Coast made noise last week in one of music’s biggest festivals. The Daze Summit took place in New York with Quality Control Music, Roc Nation and Hot 97 along with others. Spanning over the course of ten days, the festival brought together independent music with industry level networking. Created by Scott Morris and hosted by Nathaniel The Great, the phenomenal pair created a once and a lifetime opportunity and movement for aspiring artist everywhere.

Established in 2016 by Scott Morris, this platform aims at bridging the gap between independent and mainstream music. Including a variety of panels touching on social media strategy and branding, it’s bigger than a music showcase. Since it’s debut, artist like Coi Leray, Lil Tecca and Dj Drewski from Hot 97 have partnered with the event. Record label executives from 300 Entertainment, Atlantic Records and Interscope Records are also known to partner with the summit. Although the purpose for the event is music and networking, a portion of the proceeds is given to a high school senior for charity every year.

In addition to taking over New York City, the festival is held in other places such as Los Angelos, Miami, Detroit and even Paris. The Daze Summit graced over seventy stages, including the legendary SOB’s venue in New York, New York. Artist from all over including Chicago’s Mr.RichBound and Picaso Swag performed for fans of the East Coast. Another Midwest rising artist Detroit Barbie made major noise for rising females of rap. The 2024 Daze Summitt will be back in New York next year.
