Last night, most hip hop fans were expecting something new to be to their liking. Three very different artists had projects dropping, but only one saw the light of day. The other project to not come when expected was Ransom, with his Pain & Glory: The Album, which he has promoted for months.
In hip hop music, fans have gotten used to their anticipated albums being delayed. It’s hard to tell what delays albums, but artists releasing music on their own has changed the way people look at the game. No longer do delays happen the way they did, but delays continue to happen.
Ransom wanted his album to drop last night, just as much as his fans wanted it to drop, but it just wasn’t in the cards. However, iTunes had plans that prevented Ransom from getting his album out when he needed to. Fans wanted an explanation and Ransom explained via Twitter what happened.
