Hands down, the wealthiest couple in hip hop is Jay-Z and Beyonce. This may come as a surprise to many, but Jay-Z had this planned out from the beginning. Jay-Z and Beyonce have been very secretive about the inner-works of their life. Now, the two have come out and revealed a bit of information, while making massive amounts of money.
Even when he was still a member of Def Jam, Jay-Z surpassed the Simmons family in terms of worth. However, relations have always appeared to be well between Jay-Z and hip hop’s royal family. Several times, Rev Run has shouted Jay-Z out, but somewhere his opinion may have changed.
Two weeks ago, Rev Run was in Washington, DC with Tyrese. The two have co-authored a book called Manology and during their recent promo stop, Rev Run said he feels Jay-Z has pimped Beyonce out. There is a chance this change in opinion on Jay-Z is due to J. Cole rapping about having sex with his daughters. During this period of time, when Diggy Simmons went after J. Cole, Tyrese stepped up to his defense and Jay-Z remained silent.
