Hip hop fans are questioning how much more of the deaths of legendary rappers they can take. Shock G, the leader of Digital Underground, has died at the age of 57. His death is only days after the deaths of DMX and Black Rob.
Shock G was the founder of Digital Underground, the group that helped Tupac Shakur rise to fame. Through his career, Shock G always pushed the creative envelope. Digital Underground is best-known for “Humpty Hump,” while Tupac featured them on “I Get Around.”
On Twitter, fans have RIP Shock G trending, as they learn of this devastating news. At only 57 years old, Shock G was relatively young. Sadly, the Bay Area emcee is another hip hop pioneer gone too soon.
