What was supposedly laid to rest early in the summer of 2012 has been resurrected early in the fall. Diggy Simmons released his diss record, “What You Say to Me?,” on the first day of April. The record was aimed at J. Cole, who alluded to having sex with the sister of Diggy Simmons.

Rev Run spoke out, only hours after Diggy Simmons took aim at J. Cole, siding with his son, saying he is doing what any brother would. Due to his young age and out of respect to his family, J. Cole refused to respond to Diggy Simmons. Soon, Diggy spoke out and the situation was laid to rest.

Suddenly, the feud is back in full swing, as J. Cole subliminally dissed Diggy Simmons during his performance with Kendrick Lamar in Charlotte. J. Cole freestyled, making fun of Diggy’s low record sales and his rich background. However, he did credit his rising talent.

Tyrese soon stepped into the feud, telling J. Cole, via Twitter, his Diggy Simmons disses would not fly any more. The rapper/singer was also quick to inform J. Cole he was an adult. J. Cole’s basis for not going after Diggy Simmons is because of his youthful nature, in addition to his family. Diggy Simmons has also responded to the diss, releasing another new record, “Fall Down,” in which he makes fun of J. Cole for being a grown man, responding to a child.
