The New York hip hop scene has taken all types of hits over the past year. Artists ranging from Kendrick Lamar to Trinidad James have had controversial things to say about New York’s rap scene. This comes in spite of a lot of talent coming out of the area, including SBOE, who are personally cool people.

Initially, SBOE made their name through the Slowbucks clothing line and they have begun working with many big artists. Among the people SBOE have partnered with for music includes Juelz Santana. Their music swept the game and SBOE has continued to dominate the streets.

SBOE recently talked to Ebro at Hot 97 about their rise in the rap game. Since they had high-profile artists as clients with the clothing line, SBOE had little trouble breaking into the rap game. When they sat down with Hot 97, SBOE talked about their assessment of the New York hip hop scene, which appears to be on the upswing.
