Summer Walker fans are currently waiting on the release of her upcoming sophomore album, which has yet to receive a release date, or title. the R&B star has confirmed several collaborations though, such as with SZA, Lil Durk, and Ari Lennox.
In the meantime though, Walker’s 2019 debut studio album, “Over It,” is definitely still in rotation. One of the most popular songs from that project included “Playing Games,” featuring Bryson Tiller. It remains a fan-favorite, and now, has reached a new RIAA certification.
According to Chart Data, Playing Games is now 3x platinum in the US. This is after selling 3 million units. This record was initially released as a solo one, but Walker placed Tiller on an extended version. Playing Games went on to peak at number 16, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Over It had a very impressive debut as well, as it initially debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. That project is currently platinum. Hopefully, the sophomore project arrives before 2021 is finished.
