SZA’s “Snooze” goes gold
Over the past month and a half, SZA’s new sophomore album “SOS” has been a massive success. It was finally released on December 9, and went on to debut at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. As a result, SOS has since remained at that top position, for six consecutive weeks now. The album also earned the biggest R&B streaming week in history, following the first week of its release.
This was also SZA’s first album in five and a half years, as it was one of the most anticipated albums of 2022. The TDE artist initially reveled the SOS’ release date, during an early December appearance on “Saturday Night Live.”
One of the fan-favorites on SOS which isn’t a single, is “Snooze.” This is another smooth R&B record by SZA, and is becoming one of the most streamed songs from this latest project. Therefore, it has already reached a new milestone.
According to Chart Data, Snooze has now sold over 500,000 units in the US. This makes it eligible to be certified gold, in the US. Snooze is part of 23 songs on SOS, as 20 songs initially debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
