Takeoff shooting suspect Patrick Clark asks for funds to pay for PI
Last week, Houston police finally made an arrest, in connection to the shooting death of Takeoff. This was for 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark. Authorities also state that he purchased an expedited passport, so he could flee to Mexico. Clark was also found with a large amount of cash on him.
Clark is also still being held on $2 million bond. Should he be able to post this, he will be forced to undergo certain conditions of release. This includes not speaking to Takeoff’s loved ones, J. Prince and Shakur Stevenson, as well as being placed under house arrest.
However, in a court appearance this week, Clark is making it known that financial issues are hurting him in court. According to TMZ, he can’t afford a private investigator. As a result, he is asking a judge to provide him $5,000 to do so. Clark has already spent funds assisted to him from his family, to pay for an attorney. That attorney even gave him a significant discount for him. Currently, Clark is seeking a private investigator that is asking for $85 per hour, which is also a discounted price.
