Depending on when Kanye West drops music, the game stops. Clearly, Kanye West is the biggest hip hop artist in the game. Kanye West delivered one of the most-memorable albums last year with Cruel Summer. Even though it was only a compilation album, Kanye West still gained critical acclaim.
It is hard to believe, looking at everything Kanye West now has going for him, that there was once a time when his rap career was being hindered. Roc-A-Fella Records gave Kanye West the runaround before agreeing to release his album. When they did agree to release the album, they originally planned to treat it as a compilation album.
Talib Kweli spoke on this during his latest interview installment with Vlad TV. During the interview, Talib Kweli talked about Kanye West and how no one really cared for his rapping when he first started out. Production was what Kanye West initially was known for and he continues to make beats.
