Taraji P. Henson won the audiences over with her portrayal of Cookie, the ex-wife of Lucious. Missing the past seventeen years in prison, while her ex remained free to become a billionaire, Cookie is looking for redemption. As of the season two part one finale, she is getting that.

Tonight, Taraji P. Henson scored the first of many “Empire” wins in the year of 2016. For her efforts in 2015, Taraji P. Henson won big at tonight’s Golden Globes. During the ceremony, she won Best Female Actress in a Drama TV Series for her role as Cookie.
