Over the past year, The Weeknd has cemented himself as the top name in urban pop. With “The Hills,” The Weeknd enjoyed a slow climb to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. He even blocked Drake from taking the number one spot with “Hotline Bling.”
The Weeknd has enjoyed tons of success with several of his songs. Both of his singles, “The Hills,” and “I Can’t Feel My Face,” have been massive hits. They are both up for awards tonight and The Weeknd won for the Top 100 Artist.
When The Weeknd won, he dedicated his award to Prince. Sharing an intimate story of hearing about Prince showing him love at an award show before his death, The Weeknd was very humble in his victory. Because of his winning status, The Weeknd received a lot of reactions on Twitter.
