There isn’t much history to TIDAL, but most of it has been discussed since Jay-Z acquired it. Most of the press is bad, but the team continues to show continued growth and success. Still, it seems like the press is determined to see TIDAL fail.

Outside of TIDAL, Jay-Z also runs Roc Nation and DJ Khaled is the franchise player over there. This summer has seen Jay-Z and Khaled release new albums. Both albums debuted at number one and have gone platinum.

Now, there is another report about TIDAL being in a bit of hot water. It seems as if TIDAL may have played with the streaming numbers of both the new Jay-Z album and the DJ Khaled album. Of course, higher streaming numbers help get albums certified platinum quicker.
