Travis Scott’s “Franchise,” Featuring Young Thug and M.I.A., Wins “Best Hip-Hop,” at #VMAs

Travis Scott has been on fire lately, as he recently appeared on both of Kanye West and Drake’s albums. The Houston rapper also had a major record last fall, “Franchise,” feat. M.I.A. and Young Thug. That went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Franchise was also nominated for “Best Hip-Hop,” at Sunday night’s 2021 VMAs. Travis ended up taking this award home, as he went on to give out the message sin his acceptance speech, that people should spread love to others, everywhere.

In this category, Franchise beat out Cardi B ft. Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP,” Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” ft. Lil Durk, Lil Baby’s “On Me” remix ft. Megan Thee Stallion, Moneybagg Yo’s “Said Sum,” and Polo G’s “RAPSTAR.” Currently, Franchise is also expected to be on Travis’ upcoming fourth studio album, “Utopia.” A release date has yet to be publicly announced, as the hype for it originally started, last summer.

Travis is also expecting his second child, with his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. The pregnancy was announced in late August, and officially confirmed by the couple, last week.
