Two rappers on opposite ends of the spectrum are Trinidad James and J. Cole, who are both representing the South. Because of his new music, Trinidad James has faced a lot of backlash. Despite the immense popularity of “All Gold Everything,” Trinidad James received a lot of negative attention.

Last week, hip hop was sent into a frenzy over the album releases. As expected, J. Cole dropped a project worthy of “album of the year” with Born Sinner. In the past, J. Cole has included lines on his songs that warranted responses and this happened on his song off the album, “Villuminati.”

J. Cole mentions Trinidad James in a less-than-positive light on “Villuminati.” Knowing he makes a specific style of music, Trinidad James still took offense when he heard the song. MTV News caught up with Trinidad James and he talked to them about the line that mentioned him from J. Cole.
