When it rains, it pours, Birdman certainly agrees with this sentiment. It wasn’t too long ago when Birdman seemed to be on top of the hip hop world. His label, Cash Money Records boasted the likes of Busta Rhymes and Mystikal and also the rosters of Young Money and We The Best.
Building power bases in New Orleans and Miami, Birdman was driving the game. Even former Cash Money artist, Turk, expressed interest in getting back on the roster. The peak came when Juvenile returned for a second time and then the bottom fell out.
Lil Wayne grew frustrated with Cash Money Records and Birdman, thus taking his problems to the public. As things escalated, Lil Wayne went on to file a lawsuit against Cash Money Records and now Turk is doing the same thing. Stating he has not been properly paid his royalties, Turk has filed a $1.3 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records.
