New music is the best way to put all controversy to rest. Right now, Young Money is catching a lot of heat for pulling out of Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012. Before Nicki Minaj was to take the stage, Hot 97 personality, Peter Rosenberg had choice words for her “Starships” single. After his statement, the planned performance from Nicki Minaj did not take place.
Over the past few days, there has been a lot of discussion surrounding why Nicki Minaj did not perform her set. Nicki Minaj pointed out how the other Young Money artists also did not perform, but how they were not being picked on by Hot 97. Before the feud erupted, Young Money was indeed at Summer Jam, including Tyga.
Backstage, Tyga conducted a brief interview. During this interview, Tyga confirmed the rumors of another Young Money album being in the works. Late last year, Lil Wayne revealed Young Money was back in the studio, working on the second group album. Tyga did not give a release date, but was open to confirm the album was still in the works.
