In 2011, Tyler, the Creator took his mixtape success and became the biggest breakout artist of the year. Gaining co-signs by Game and other Los Angeles veterans, MTV gave their ‘Best New Artist’ award to Tyler, the Creator. Introducing his Odd Future crew, the attention soon shifted to crooner, Frank Ocean.
Frank Ocean took the game over through his music. One year in the spotlight and the urban music scene is comparing him to Prince. In a short period of time, Frank Ocean has become much bigger than music. Now, Tyler, the Creator is preparing to come back in a much different hip hop landscape than 2011.
Tyler, the Creator spoke to Hot 97 about his upcoming album, Wolf. Following the interview with Hot 97, Tyler, the Creator went on to visit Shade 45. Talking to Sway Calloway for “Sway in the Morning,” Tyler, the Creator spoke on Wolf and freestyled, along with doing a parody of Pusha T.
