Vic Mensa, 93 Boyz and cast of The Chi give back with the Feed The Block Initiative

Vic Mensa and 93 Boyz give back with Feed The Block Initiative

Giving back is both an act of kindness and an opportunity to uplift communities in need. This past weekend, rapper Vic Mensa, along with his cannabis brand 93 Boyz and The Delta, gave back by continuing their “Feed The Block/Warm The Block” Initiative. Vic Mensa created this amazing resource due to the “onset of Winter throughout Chicago”. Taking place at The Delta Restaurant in Wicker Park, this effort has already created major change. The cast of the hit Showtime television series The Chi joined Vic Mensa, passing out food and resources to unhoused immigrants.

Vic Mensa proudly displays community leader to his growing list of talents. The Chicago native is a gifted rapper, songwriter and business owner has always been open about political activism. In 2022, he donated over $10,000 worth of free gas at a local BP gas station in Chicago. He also created the “SaveMoneySaveLife” non-profit organization, promoting mental health and environmental justice. Aside from his admirable community efforts, Vic Mensa released the emotion filled album Victor in 2023.

With plans of continuing his “Feed The Block/Warm The Block” Initiative with The Delta through March, this event is one of many more to come. Jason Weaver, Luke James, Jacob Latimore, Cortez Smith and Hannaha Hall were all in attendance during the event. To date, Feed The Block/Warm The Block has collected and distributed over 650 meals and over 1000 winter donations.
