Last week, hip hop had the chance to celebrate Wale and his dope body of work that he calls The Gifted. Debuting on top of the charts, Wale is firmly holding down a growing hip hop scene in Washington, DC. “Love/Hate Thing” has taken off since it was released as a single.
Whether they like him or not, this week the people had to discuss Wale because he was on everything. A lot of attention was dedicated to Wale and a lot more attention is going to his team of winners. Those who do not know, Wale is a member of two powerful camps, Maybach Music and Roc Nation.
Hip hop artist, S. Whittaker, was among the people listening to Wale. The Gifted is not only limited to music, it is for the, well gifted. S. Whittaker listened to the entire album and she was inspired to create, so she drew a 9 x 12 portrait of Wale that she decided to share with the world.
