Last month, Meek Mill surprised everyone when he took shots at Wale on Twitter. It was always understood that Maybach Music is a family, even though they had no prior history together until they signed. But, Wale and Meek Mill were signed together and pushed as MMG’s main artists.
Beef was something no one saw coming and the label stepped in to stop anything serious from happening. Meek Mill never had a chance to make proper amends with his label-mate, Wale. Instead, he was sentenced to prison and he is not going to be coming out until October.
Wale already confirmed he had no issue with Meek Mill and that he was indeed supporting his label-mate. But, actions are much more useful than words and Wale made sure the people saw him. He joined the #FreeMeekMill movement and wished his friend well on Instagram.
