One of the biggest claims to fame for Will Smith is “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Twenty-three years ago, Will Smith premiered his sitcom and his career has not been the same since then. In the five year run of the series, Will Smith went from being a popular rapper from Philadelphia to being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

However, fans around the world know and appreciate Will Smith for “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and it continues to run in syndication. Seventeen years after the final episode of “The Fresh Prince” there are many younger viewers who still watch the show. At the least, the theme song is considered to be a classic.

It was the theme song for “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” that caused a school to go into lockdown mode this past week. In Pennsylvania, a high school student’s cell phone went off in class and the ringtone was set to the theme song for “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” The line “shootin some b-ball” was mistaken for “shootin some people” and the teacher called 911.
