A shooting occurred near several restaurants on Miami Beach over Memorial Day weekend. This left two people injured, with one of them being in critical condition. DaBaby ended up being questioned by police about the shooting, but he ended up being quickly let go. Now, a friend of Baby’s, is facing charges.
According to WCNC, two more suspects were questioned. Wisdom Akornuche Awute, 21, is signed to Baby’s Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment label, has also been arrested. The charges he’s been hit with are first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
Christopher Urena, the second suspect, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, third-degree grand theft and weapons possession. Witnesses at the scene say the shooting initially started after an argument that occurred nearby. Police also claimed that Urena fled the scene in a stolen vehicle after shooting a victim in the back. Wisdom was also said to have chased two people and shot one of them in the leg.
Baby was also arrested back in January in Beverly Hills with his entourage. This is after someone called police snd said that they had weapons on them while leaving multiple designer stores. Baby was arrested and booked for carrying a loaded firearm, which was a misdemeanor.
