Having guys like Yelawolf in the game and successful is something hip hop needs more of, diversity. In a game originated by some black street kids in The Bronx, it is amazing to see some white kid from Alabama have a shot. There are rappers of all creeds and races who are having success in the game right now.
Macklemore is probably having the biggest impact on the game right now. Loved by the pop audience, Macklemore has faced a lot of backlash from most hardcore hip hop listeners. There are a lot of people who have billed Macklemore as corny in spite of his efforts.
Yelawolf ended up addressing Macklemore and he provided the details of the exchange for his followers on Facebook. Apparently, Yelawolf ran across a fan wearing a shirt entitled “get the buck outta here.” Noticing the buck on the shirt, Yelawolf asked the fan what it was about and it led him to Macklemore.

In a Sea of about 20,000 plus people this fan walked up to me yesterday and asked me for a photo .. I saw the Buck logo but didn’t remember making the shirt ..I took the photo then said let me see that that shirt .. GET THE BUCK OUTTA HERE !!! .. Are you kidding me @maclemore ? I confronted him after his set .. And he said its 5 or 6 years old .. And ask ” are we cool ?” He’s a fan obviously so whatever …. Look if y’all see this shirt out there call it out .. 4,5,6 years old don’t matter .. She was wearing it yesterday .. THATS OUR **** BE CLAER ! .. POSERS .. #SLUMERICAN
