The West Coast has made great strides over the past couple of years and YG is one of the leaders of the new movement. In the past, several West Coast artists have done interviews, saying their run is not comparable to the early 1990s. Their reasoning was because there was no albums released from them.
Guys like YG have changed this and DJ Mustard is making the beats that are changing the game. Outside of just the West Coast, DJ Mustard is lacing the whole game with beats. But, it has a specific sound with YG that has transformed the game with songs like “Who Do You Love?” featuring Drake.
This week, Sway Calloway hosted YG and DJ Mustard, along with many more, in the latest edition of MTV’s “RapFix Live.” Since My Krazy Life is still relatively new, YG and DJ Mustard stopped by Sway’s MTV digs to talk about the new album. Most feel as if My Krazy Life is one of the hottest albums out.
