Perhaps, the biggest rising West Coast rapper is YG, another Compton native. Two years ago, YG signed with Def Jam, but did not receive much attention. Closely working with popular West Coast figure, DJ Mustard, YG has been on a roll, lately. YG has found great chemistry with Young Jeezy.

After turning DJ Mustard’s “R.I.P.” beat down, YG watched Young Jeezy use it for his new single and now the two are featured on the remix. Watching his buzz pick up, YG has strong buzz going into his Welcome to Bompton debut album. Headed into the actual album release, YG has a lot going on.

Sermon’s Domain caught up with YG when he visited Seattle and he talked about his upcoming album. With Drake remaining the hottest rapper in the game, YG mentioned they may be soon working together. YG also spoke on the influence he has on the game, his debut album, and his work with Young Jeezy.
