Back in 2010, YG made his mainstream breakthrough, but after his first hit, he was forgotten by the masses. His core fan base in Los Angeles still rocked with him, however. Since 2012, YG has steadily worked himself back into the public eye.
The decision by Def Jam to partner YG with Jeezy paid off in a very big way. Together with Rich Homie Quan, they delivered the 2013-2014 infectious hit, “My Hitta,” a modern classic. Now, YG is back to work on another project.
YG and his mom recently stopped by Real 92.3 to talk to Big Boy about their moves. While there, YG spoke on the shooting and the birth of his daughter, before talking music. He also discussed Still Krazy, the new album, not doing the “Twist My Fingaz” video, and much more.
