City Girls continue to be one of the hottest groups in hip-hop as this summer, JT and Yung Miami released their sophomore album, “City On Lock.” This project did solid commercially as it reached No. 29 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was led by the singles, “Jobs” and “P*ssy Talk” featuring Doja Cat.

At the same time though, Yung Miami has been receiving criticism as an artist as a lot of listeners don’t think she can rap or has any solid bars. After feeling down about herself on Chloe x Halle’s “Do It” remix, she is now defending her name.

Miami took to Twitter to say that she can rap and that’s why God gave her that talent. She explained that she can’t quit because this is how she feeds her children. Miami noted that at concerts, fans definitely support her and whether she’s on or off beat, she’s still going to deliver verses. She concluded by noting how people have her props for her efforts on City On Lock but now, they suddenly want to backtrack.

In the end, Miami is still winning big with JT. Criticism will always be part of this industry no matter what.
