On “Empire,” there are few shortages of shocking moments. Coming into season two, Lee Daniels had to do something drastic to keep fans interested. After such high intensity drama in season one and the first few episodes of season two, the Lyon family had to have peace.
Seeing how he was the reason for the tension, Andre (Trai Byers) was fittingly the one to bring peace in the family. First, he brought his younger brothers, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) back together. Then, he tried with his parents.
Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) were glad, but dismissive of Andre’s confessions. Still, they attended church with both Andre and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday), as he dedicated his life to Christ. Immediately after church, Hakeem got kidnapped, which came as a shocker, just as the whole family made peace.
