JB Bickerstaff goes off on female referee and the Hornets laugh
All season, the Cleveland Cavaliers have exceeded expectations. Darius Garland has become a franchise player, while Collin Sexton and Jarrett Allen have become strong role players. The Cavaliers have become one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. For the first time in over twenty years, the Cleveland Cavaliers have had success outside of LeBron James. But, he returned for the All-Star Game, and hit the game-winning shot.
In the NBA’s Eastern Conference, the expectations were the Sixers, Hawks, Bucks, Nets, and Heat leading things. Instead, every team within the top ten has spent time at the top. The NBA East has now morphed into the Heat, Bulls, Sixers, Bucks, Cavaliers, and Celtics leading the conference. Meanwhile, the Hornets have gone from six games over .500 to three games under it. Many people have felt the Hornets are now going to fold. While they still might, they showed up last night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled, as of late, and the Hornets exposed that. With Isaiah Thomas on the roster, the Hornets got a blowout win in Cleveland. Their blowout home loss was emphasized by the head coach, JB Bickerstaff completely flipping out. When the Cavs didn’t get the call Bickerstaff felt they deserved, he went off on the female referee. His rant was epic and then there was Isaiah Thomas and LaMelo Ball, from the Hornets, laughing at it.
