Jimmy Butler makes fun of LaMelo Ball’s famous celebration
Two years ago, the Miami Heat shocked the basketball world. The Heat upset their way to the NBA Finals and came within two wins of the title. What was amazing about the Heat was that they missed the playoffs the previous season. During the offseason, the Heat signed Jimmy Butler. After a 39-43 season, the Heat earned the equivalent of a 49-33 record.
Jimmy Butler had an MVP-caliber season, as the Miami Heat took over. During the playoffs, they got hot at the right time, easily dispatching the Pacers, Bucks, and Celtics in upsets. In the NBA Finals, after falling behind 2-0, the won two of three against LeBron James’ stacked Lakers. The unexpected Finals run and the quick season turnaround left the Heat depleted, as the Bucks swept them in the first round, last year.
For most of this season, the Heat have dominated the East. Aside from some brief moments of struggle, the Heat have led all year. The East’s landscape looks to be the Heat, Celtics, Bucks, Sixers, Raptors, Cavaliers, Nets, Hawks, and Hornets. For a brief moment, the Hornets looked like they could take the seventh seed. Instead, they will likely stay at the tenth spot, for the second straight year. Playing Miami, LaMelo Ball’s Hornets needed the win, and they played well early on. As the Heat took over, Jimmy Butler took a shot at LaMelo.
