Kevin Durant shakes his head in disgust as Nets lose
It’s hard to imagine Kevin Durant being happy with this season. Last year, the Brooklyn Nets put together a formidable roster. Once James Harden was brought in, the Nets’ core included him alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Having those three, alone, should be good for at least 55 wins. However, last season was a shortened season. During that season, the Nets went 48-24, the equivalent of a 55-27 record.
Injuries and chemistry issues hindered last year’s Nets. When they faced Giannis and the Bucks, that was too much to overcome. At the end of the season, Giannis and the Bucks won the title. Kevin Durant believed the Nets should have been the champions. Furthermore, this season Kevin Durant definitely feels the Nets should be having the success the Phoenix Suns are having. Instead, the Nets are competing with the Hawks and Hornets for a play-in spot. The Nets have lost to both.
Last night, Kevin Durant gave the Hawks the highest scoring game of his career. Trae Young simply smiled, as his performance kept the Hawks on top. The Hawks were blowing the Nets out for most of the game. At one point, Kevin Durant was showing his frustration on his face. After this, Brooklyn did work to make the game close, losing it late.
