The Weeknd releases Sacrifice music video off Dawn FM
In his career, The Weeknd has outlasted many of his contemporaries. To travel back to 2011, few people saw Abel lasting much longer than whatever longevity “Crew Love” had, as a hit single. A decade ago, that song was one of the hottest records out. As far as the years in between go, The Weeknd dropped plenty of songs that ended up being among the hottest records out.
The Weeknd dropped plenty of classics, over the years, including “Wicked Games.” Early in 2012, this became his breakout track, which established him as a star. While that song was his breakthrough single, three years would pass before he released another charting single. That wait ended up being well worth it, as he soon began dropping nothing but top ten hits, every time.
Among those hits are “The Hills” and “Starboy,” the latter of which truly established him as a star. Since then, The Weeknd has gone onto establish himself as a generational star. The same things that propelled him helped inspire the all-time greats to their greatness. This morning, The Weeknd dropped Dawn FM, and has returned with the “Sacrifice” music video.
