Just how much New Orleans has contributed to the rap game, over the years, is insane. Heck, the entire state of Louisiana, over the past few years. Back when Master P was doing his thing, an interest in the whole city of New Orleans was generated.
Freak Nasty emerged from this, rising to fame in 1996. Ultimately, he proved to be a one hit wonder, but he got a shout out from the biggest artists in the game. His one hit, “Da Dip,” got a major shout from Cardi B, on “Bodak Yellow.”
Given the year that Cardi B has had and her homage to history, as she is the future, right now, this one made sense. The big homie, Freak Nasty, takes home this week’s Wednesday Throwback. Closing out 2017, HHV is partying, so this is “Da Dip,” LETS GET IT!
