The early spring months of 2012 were filled with Twitter exchanges from two rising femcees, Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks. Over the past few months, Azealia Banks has made a name for herself through dissing other rappers. Among those Banks have gone at include Iggy Azalea’s boss, T.I., and the legendary femcee, Lil’ Kim.

Azealia Banks accused Iggy Azalea of stealing her name and her style, despite the two being drastically different. Iggy Azeala is an Australian transplant who has been building buzz in the United States for some time. Initially signed to Interscope Records, her affiliation with T.I. led to her leaving for Grand Hustle.
