Hip hop has its rightful position in the game on television. Already, several television networks have hip hop-themed shows or members of the hip hop community on their cast lists. BET has been noticeably absent from these hip hop reality television shows, but now they are getting involved.
BET recently made plans to launch their new reality show. “Hip Hop Sisters” is the name of the new show and many of the most-known femcees will be a part of the upcoming series. Among the names on the show will be Lil Mama, MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage, and Yo Yo.
The new series will chronicle these ladies, as they attempt to relaunch their careers. Also on the show will be Smooth and Monie Love. Currently, there is no set date for the series premiere, but it will be taking place in the near future. In the meantime, there should be news releases.
