Nicki Minaj takes home Best Female Rap Artist at 2013 BET Awards

Of course, nobody was surprised about this one. The 2013 BET Awards are on right now and, a few minutes ago, the award for Best Female Rap Artist was handed out. A lot of female emcees have been on the come-up, recently. Nicki Minaj has been doing her thing for a while and she is no longer a new artist.

But, in this past year, there have been a lot of female rappers emerging. Veteran femcee and “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star, Rasheeda, was also nominated for Best Female Rap Artist. The other ladies nominated included Azealia Banks, Eve, and Rye Rye and all were interesting choices.

Once again, Nicki Minaj took home the Best Female Rap Artist award at the 2013 BET Awards. This is the fourth consecutive time she has won the award. Last year, the outlook was bleak and she apologized for the award. But, this year, she won against some pretty stiff competition, by the way who else enjoyed watching her walk on stage?
