New York City has reason to be proud, the favorite son has come back home and he is back with a new album. Of course, this is Jay-Z and Magna Carta Holy Grail, his twelfth studio project. Magna Carta Holy Grail officially dropped today and, as everyone has already said, is already platinum.
Because this is Jay-Z, everybody has had something to say about the album. Even former business partner, Damon Dash, had to give props to Jay-Z for his new release. It has been wonderful to see Magna Carta Holy Grail take off the way it has. In addition to the music, Jay-Z is also being a wonderful father to his daughter, Blue Ivy.
Making his rounds with the media, Jay-Z stopped by to talk to his longtime friend, Angie Martinez, for Hot 97. During the interview, Jay-Z opened up on the #newrules, which is how he went platinum in a day. Jay-Z also talked about President Obama, being a father, having love for Damon Dash, and of course the album.
