Yesterday, the audio of Jay-Z talking about his new album and a little bit of everything else with Angie Martinez leaked. Within hours, the footage of a portion of the interview found its way online. The focus is on Jay-Z until further notice, because his first album in four years is out.
Magna Carta Holy Grail officially dropped yesterday and Jay-Z, as any other artist would do, made his media rounds to promote. Typically, more elusive than the average hip hop artist, Jay-Z has been quite accessible this time. Jay-Z networked with fans online, specifically Twitter, admitting to “having a good time.”
Though only a portion of the Angie Martinez interview on Hot 97 was released as a video, enough of the good stuff was captured. In the ten minute clip leaked, Jay-Z speaks on Magna Carta Holy Grail, going to Cuba and his talks with the president. Then, Jay-Z talks Kanye West, Damon Dash, Roc-A-Fella Records, and Watch the Throne 2.
