Debra Antney talks background in the music industry, transitioning into management, and more with “The Breakfast Club”

Known primarily as the management of 1017 Brick Squad and the mother of the popular rapper, Waka Flocka Flame, Debra Antney is associated with the Southern hip hop movement. She deserves it, no doubt, as Debra Antney opened doors for a lot of rappers in the South. But, Debra Antney is from Queens and she got her start here.
In addition to Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane, Debra Antney also helped guide the career of Nicki Minaj. Queens rapper, Frenchie, is her nephew and she has had a strong hand in helping him, as his career has begun to take off. There is a lot of work put in by Debra Antney the world isn’t aware of.
Debra Antney returned to her native New York City and she talked about her background in this industry. Dating back to the days of Run-DMC, Debra Antney told DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God at Power 105.1 how she did it. “The Breakfast Club” also spoke to her about her management background.
