Bet there were a lot of people who didn’t expect Artists to Know to come back, but it’s bad karma to not deliver on a promise. Artists to Know is back just in time for the ongoing celebration of Oakland Week, so this week, there will be five consecutive days of the series. Today, Bobby Brackins is the feature.
Bobby Brackins is a native of Oakland and he recently released his Maxwell Park mixtape, which dropped back in July. The mixtape did numbers online and has been met with a warm reaction. A lot of people know Bobby Brackins primarily for his appearance on the Ray J single, “I Hit It First,” but there is so much more to him.
Earlier this summer, Bobby Brackins talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his career and the moves he is making. Since this time, Bobby Brackins has made a lot of big moves and is fielding label offers from the majors. Bobby Brackins is the future of the Oakland hip hop scene and has a growing following.
