Those who saw the Instagram post last month already know what was going down, but Jin was the latest person to do a DJ Kid Fresh/Hip Hop Vibe interview. Many may remember him from his Ruff Ryders days and the “Learn Chinese” single. He gained his deal after dominating “106 & Park’s” Freestyle Fridays.
Jin’s time on “106 & Park” obviously opened major doors and it changed the way they do their Freestyle Friday. This also led to more independent artists being featured on the show. The popularity of Freestyle Friday has led to “106 & Park” doing more segments, such as the popular Wild Out Wednesday.
This interview was a full circle moment for various reasons and Jin dropped a lot of knowledge in general. He spoke on where he has been, in terms of his hiatus, and where he is going. During his reflection, Jin had nothing but positive things to say about every step of the way that has led him from his career heights, taking time off in Hong Kong, to eventually come back.
