Look no further than North Carolina for some good hip hop music. The entire state has plenty of hip hop talent. In Charlotte, there is Carlimo Da Don, who is always representing his city and state. Back in 2012, he released his Trap Newton mixtape holding Charlotte and the Panthers down.
Last year, Carlimo Da Don released his Carlimo Obama (The Re-Election) tape, which DJ Ben Frank hosted. His music is reaching increasingly bigger markets, as the city of Charlotte is developing a nice hip hop scene. There are a lot of people grinding to make the city of Charlotte a force on the scene.
DJ YRS Jerzy has been contributing to Hip Hop Vibe for over two years as both a writer and promoter. This year, DJ YRS Jerzy also made his debut as an on-air host for Hip Hop Vibe and it was only right to do it in Charlotte with Carlimo Da Don. In the interview, Carlimo Da Don talked about his upcoming music, the Carolina Panthers, and the Charlotte Bobcats making way for the Charlotte Hornets to return.
