Recap: VH1’s “This Is Hot 97” episode 2 [VIDEO]

Last year, VH1 dedicated an entire show to the politics of hip hop media in New York City called “The Gossip Game.” Following several women who worked for various outlets, the show didn’t come back for a second season. This didn’t mean that a show on the media couldn’t work, however, and VH1 retooled.

The network came back with “This Is Hot 97,” a show dedicated completely to the inner workings of Hot 97. In the premiere episode, fans got to see Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, DJ Cipha Sounds, Funkmaster Flex, Laura Stylez, Angie Martinez, and Miss Info in action. There were also cameos from Mack Wilds and Kanye West.

In the second episode, viewers were treated to Peter Rosenberg doing his best to arrange a threesome with his wife and Carrie Keagan. VH1 viewers should know Carrie Keagan for her hosting “Big Morning Buzz Live.” Other plots in the show included Funkmaster Flex and Miss Info trying to figure out who is stealing her lunch and Angie Martinez playing a video game.
