Back in 2011, Rick Ross signed DJ Scream to Maybach Music and it was one of four signings he made that year. Rick Ross signed DJ Scream because he was the biggest mixtape DJ in the South and he has Atlanta on lock. Since the deal, DJ Scream has continued to push the Hoodrich brand via mixtapes and radio.
But, DJ Scream also began working on an album in 2013. The album has gone through several changes and is now known as the upcoming album, Hunger Pains. This release is one of many for Maybach Music, as they enter the fourth quarter with tons of momentum and DJ Scream is glad to be in the mix.
Hip Hop Vibe was on the scene during the BET Hip Hop Awards’ weekend in Atlanta, so that meant DJ Charlie Hustle was on the scene. He caught up with DJ Scream after his show over at Hot 107.9. Knowing each other for over ten years, they talked about Hunger Pains, the BET Hip Hop Awards, and much more.
