DaBaby Gets One Year of Probation In Gun Case Dating Back to Incident At North Carolina Walmart Where a Man Was Shot and Killed; Baby Not Labeled as The Shooter But Carried Concealed Gun

Charlotte, NC breakout star DaBaby has created a huge buzz for himself in 2019 as a result of his hit single “Suge” and his new project “Baby on Baby.” He’s had some problems outside of the studio though as he’s gotten into plenty of physical altercations.

In November, Baby was involved in an incident at a North Carolina Walmart where he got into a fight with a man. The man got shot and killed but Baby was supposedly not the shooter. Baby had a gun on him though and made the defense that he was protecting himself and his kids for fighting the man. He was arrested at the scene but not charged for the shooting. Police still haven’t found out who the shooter is.

Baby won’t serve any jail time from this case as he will serve one year of probation, according to TMZ. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office says Baby was convicted of carrying a concealed gun which is a misdemeanor. He got 12 months of unsupervised probation and 30 days in jail but it’s now a suspended jail sentence.

Aside from this case, Baby is also being sued by Massachusetts rapper Don Trag after he was beat down by Baby’s security prior to him opening up for their show in Lawrence, MA. Trag suffered life-threatening injuries but is recovering now. This all supposedly went down because Trag asked for a photo with Baby.

If DaBaby stays focused and out of trouble, he will succeed for a long time in this industry. He can’t let people get him out of character all the time.
