Last night, Usher teased “Confessions III,” and the internet really thought they had one. A few of his lyrics had people thinking he really went there. Going back to the 2017 herpes accusations, fans thought that Usher confessed to having herpes.
Honestly, the fans should have known better, that Usher never had herpes, in the first place, for starters. Secondly, if Usher did indeed have herpes, the announcement would probably come in a TV interview, and not in a song. But, whatever, the fans ran with it.
Jermaine Dupri, who already spoke on Usher’s situation, when he went on “The Breakfast Club,” in 2018, set the record straight. He happened to see Hot 97’s Instagram post about Usher. There, he said people need to listen to the song more carefully, saying the song is the female version of “Confessions, Part 2,” where the woman cheats, and gets pregnant by the other man, as opposed to the man cheating and getting a baby.
